DON’T GET LOST. GET LOS.

LAURUS OPERATING SYSTEM

One operating system. Every part of your business connected.

LOS is the software Laurus Group builds to run its own businesses. Staff, jobs, quality records and customer updates sit in one connected system, with modules shaped to each industry. It is also being developed for selected organisations outside the Group.

  • Recruitment software: live
  • PaddockDesk & PitstopDash: alpha
  • Manufacturing: in development

Laurus Operating System is part of Laurus Group Limited.

The Laurus Operating System (LOS) mark

What LOS does

One system for the people, work and customers of a business

Most growing businesses run on spreadsheets, inboxes and apps that never quite agree. LOS replaces them with one shared system. Everyone signs in with a role, work is recorded once, and the whole team sees the same up-to-date record.

01

People

Staff accounts, roles and permissions, attendance, training records and recruitment, organised around who does what in the business.

02

Work

Jobs and works orders: who they are allocated to and how far along they are, tracked from first request to completion.

03

Operations

Scheduling, routing and the day-to-day running of the business, kept in one place instead of spread across spreadsheets.

04

Quality

Inspection records, non-conformance reports and audit trails recorded as part of the workflow, not added afterwards.

05

Communication

Updates and notifications for staff and customers, attached to the job, vehicle or application they relate to.

06

Business visibility

Dashboards and priorities drawn from the same records the team works in, so nothing is re-keyed into a separate report.

07

Customers

Customer-facing portals and apps built on the data staff already work from, rather than a separate system to keep in sync.

08

Industry-specific workflows

Modules for garages and workshops, recruitment and manufacturing, each shaped to how that work is actually done.

How it fits together

One architecture, industry modules, customer apps

LOS is not one giant application. It is a shared way of building business software, used to make focused modules for each industry and the customer apps that sit alongside them.

  1. Layer 1

    Shared architecture

The same approach to accounts, roles and permissions, data security and audit, reused by every module. Each module keeps its own sign-in and its own data.

  2. Layer 2

Industry modules, used by staff and management

    • PaddockDesk for garages and workshopsDeveloping
    • Recruitment for recruitment teamsLive
    • Manufacturing for production and quality teamsDeveloping
  3. Layer 3

    Customer apps

    • PitstopDash for vehicle owners, the customer side of PaddockDeskDeveloping

Who LOS serves

Built for the people who do the work

Each module is designed with the teams who use it every day, and labelled with its real stage, so what works today is never confused with what is still being built.

Developing

Garages & workshops

For workshop staff and managers, and the customers whose vehicles they look after.

PaddockDesk runs the workshop: reception, job cards, technician views, vehicle health reports, invoicing and handover. PitstopDash gives the customer their vehicle’s health, history and reminders on their phone.

  • AlphaReception, job management, technician workflow, vehicle health reporting, invoicing and handover are built and working.
  • In developmentParts search, parts ordering and supplier integrations.
Live

Recruitment teams

For recruitment consultants, and the candidates and employers they work with.

Candidate accounts with email verification, profiles and CV upload, application tracking, employer accounts and staff review workflows.

  • LiveRunning in production for one recruitment business.
  • In developmentSeparate, branded portals for independent recruitment businesses.

LOS provides recruitment software. It is not a recruitment agency and does not find candidates or fill roles.

Developing

Manufacturers

For production managers, quality leads and shop-floor teams.

Works orders, attendance, competencies and training, inspections, NCRs and real-time production dashboards, with shop-floor terminals and production routing.

Developed and tested around real production and manufacturing workflows. Not yet commercially available.

Flagship LOS product

PaddockDesk: the connected garage and workshop platform

PaddockDesk is used by the workshop team, from the front desk to the technician’s tablet to the manager’s view of the day. Every step works from one job record, so nothing is copied between systems.

PaddockDesk

DevelopingIn alpha. Every step below is built and working except supplier parts ordering, which is still in development.

  1. 01

    Reception & booking

The vehicle is checked in and a job opened against a single connected record.

A structured, printable health report, shared with the customer alongside the job.

    Technician to customer

    Front desk & manager

    Customer handover

Health report, invoice and payment status brought together for a clear final handover.

    Front desk to customer

Customer companion

PitstopDash - Vehicle health & service management

PitstopDash: PaddockDesk for the customer

PaddockDesk is used by the garage team. PitstopDash is a separate customer-facing app, built as its companion, so drivers can see what the workshop has found and what their vehicle needs next.

  • Vehicle health reports, item by item
  • Maintenance and service history
  • Advisories to keep an eye on
  • MOT and service reminders

Developing An alpha demo with fictional data. Not yet available to customers, and the connection to PaddockDesk is still being built.

Real software

Shaped by a working garage

These screens are from the customer dashboard of Podium Vehicle Solutions, a Laurus Group garage business, shown in its demo mode with no real customer data. Podium’s day-to-day work is shaping how PaddockDesk and PitstopDash are designed.

Customer dashboard

Vehicle profile, health status, MOT and service summary, and what needs attention next.

Vehicle history

A chronological record of work on the vehicle, alongside its MOT history.

Security & infrastructure

Built on access control, not trust

The controls a business needs, described plainly. LOS does not claim certifications it does not hold.

Role-based access control

Every staff and customer account has a role, and that role is checked on every request, not just hidden in the interface.

Separated data

Each module has its own database with row-level security, so customers only see their own records and one business’s data is kept apart from another’s.

Audited sensitive actions

High-impact actions, such as permanently deleting a record, are logged with who, when and why.

Modern cloud infrastructure

Hosted on Cloudflare’s global network with managed, access-controlled Postgres databases, rather than a single office server.
